Q.  Do we have to have adult leaders?

Yes.  The interns will serve as your mission guide.  Adult leaders from your group help set expectations, communicate with your students and model the way.  If you are bringing a youth group, we've found 1 adult for every 6-7 youth the most helpful.

Q.  Group size and transportation

Plan to have a vehicle for every 6 people you bring. Refer to your confirmation letter for the number of groups we expect you to be in.  This equals the number of vehicles you will need, too.  Make sure in each vehicle there is space for an intern.

Our serving locations are spread out across the city.  Most serving locations can accommodate approximately 7 people, including an intern.  It is important that you have transportation for groups of 6, plus an intern.  Please contact us if you would like to discuss public transportation options in Cincinnati.

Q.  Where will we sleep?

Hyde Park Community purchased a building in 2001 that served as a monastery for many years.  You'll sleep in rooms with twin beds and window air-conditioners.  You are responsible for bringing bedding.  Showers are located down the hall.

Q.  What else do we need to know?

Interns will serve as your mission guide for the week, therefore, it is necessary to have a seat in your vehicle for each intern assigned to your group.  Please refer to your confirmation letter for specific details.

Emergency Medical Release Forms and Video/Photo releases must be completed for every participant, including adults.
