Awaken the City is an opportunity for you to help rebuild, renew and restore our city.  The best way we know how to do this is to love, serve and grow.  These three elements create places for you to connect with God in Christ. 

There are three groups of people we see connecting to Awaken the City:

The congregation-Awaken the City is the ministry at Hyde Park Community Church to connect people to serving beyond the walls of the church. This is an ongoing ministry that occurs in every season of church life.

The connection-We recognize the foundation of our church is being connected to one another.  Awaken the City is a place for other churches to connect to serving in the city.  This happens primarily through our Summer Program.

The community-We all want to make a difference, to connect to meaningful relationships with others.  In the future, Awaken the City will be a place for individuals seeking to serve in the city who may or may not have a church home.  Our hope is to help others see the love of Christ in action.  We anticipate starting missional communities in late 2011.
